I bought Mi Piston and Redmi note 3G, 1st day headphones worked fine .On second day headphones buttons like next ,previous , call pickup were not working.
I tried following things to troubleshoot
1 > Insert that headphone in another MI phone . In my case buttons were working with other MI Phones .
2 >Tried to Take backup and reset MI Redmi Note .
Result is Note gets reset but no success with headphones button.
3 > I posted this review on Flipkart (seller of MI Note ). Surprisingly I got call from MI support . :)
here are steps they told me to do
Dial *#*#64663#*#*
Try test 15,16,17
I tried that one but no success .
4 > I then inserted another piston headphone in my Redmi note Its is properly detected and buttons worked fine. Then I inserted my MI piston and it also started detecting its buttons . :) . Now it detecting without any problem since 1 week I not got any issue further with this.
5 > Also make sure that when you insert Piston on top level of screen it should show you icon like this.
Current design of headphone jack and insert point is confusing to tell us whether headphones are properly got inserted. when you get above icon with Piston it means it got inserted right way .
